Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Amon Technologies, Inc.(株式会社Amon Technologies)is a company registered in Tokyo, Japan (corporate number 3011001170605), operating under the trade name Juice Data. Our registered office is 2F-C, Shibuya Dogenzaka Tokyu Building, 1-10-8 Dogenzaka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo 150-0043, Japan. Our Representative Director is Sho Usami. We are a personal information handling business operator under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), and this policy is our public notice under Articles 21 and 32 of that Act. It covers the footage we record at client sites and the data we receive through this website.
2. Personal data we collect
Site footage. At manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, food processing and similar sites, we record first-person video from small head-mounted cameras worn by workers. Depending on the shoot, the recording includes video, audio, accelerometer and gyroscope (IMU) readings, timestamps and task labels. The footage can capture the faces, hands, body movements and voices of the camera wearer, of co-workers, and of other people present at the site.
Consent records. For each shoot we keep the signed site agreement, each worker's signed consent and portrait rights release, bystander consent forms, and the identification number we assign to each person.
Website and contact data. If you submit our pilot request form or email us, we receive what you send, typically your name, company, email address and message. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell this data.
3. Purposes of use
We use site footage and the related consent records for the following purposes and no others:
- Creating datasets for research and development in robotics and artificial intelligence, including the training, evaluation and improvement of machine learning models.
- Providing and licensing those datasets to third parties, including the right to sublicense, and the commercial use, by us and by recipients, of machine learning models trained on the data, of their parameters, and of their outputs.
- Quality control and record keeping incidental to the above.
The rights each person grants us in their consent are perpetual, worldwide and non-exclusive. We use contact data only to respond to your inquiry and, where it leads to one, to manage the customer relationship.
4. How we obtain consent
Before recording at a site we sign an agreement with the site operator. Separately, we obtain written consent directly from each worker who will wear a camera. That consent is between us and the individual, not routed through their employer, and it is voluntary: declining, or withdrawing later, carries no disadvantage at work. Other people who may appear on camera sign a short consent form on the spot; where we cannot obtain it, we remove or de-identify them before delivery. Blurring is not treated as a substitute for consent. Notice that recording is in progress is posted at the site.
5. Provision to third parties
We provide footage to businesses engaged in robotics and AI research and development, under contract. When we do:
- We never disclose anyone's name. Recipients receive only the identification number we assigned (for example, P001), together with a consent manifest that contains no names.
- We do not publish footage to the general public.
- Recipients are contractually bound to use the data only for the purposes in section 3, and not to provide it onward to anyone else without our prior written consent.
- We keep a record of every provision for three years, as APPI Article 29 requires.
6. Transfer outside Japan
We do provide footage to recipients located outside Japan. The countries where recipients are expected to be located are the United States, the member states of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, the Republic of Korea and Singapore. Before obtaining consent, we give each person the information APPI Article 28 requires about the destination country's data protection regime and the recipient's safeguards. Where the recipient is not yet determined at the time of consent, we provide the alternative information permitted under the Enforcement Rules and will, on request, tell the person the recipient and its country once determined. Transfers are made by encrypted cloud storage or encrypted physical media.
7. What we remove before delivery
Before footage leaves our control we review it in full and remove or mask: information that could be special care-required personal information (for example about health or beliefs) captured unintentionally; names, addresses, phone numbers and similar identifiers spoken in audio; anyone who has not consented, who is deleted or de-identified; and the site operator's confidential information. We also strip location metadata such as GPS.
8. Storage and security
Footage is transferred from recording media directly to servers we operate in Japan; it does not pass through public cloud services during collection. On ingestion we compute a SHA-256 hash of each file to verify integrity. Footage and consent records are kept in encrypted storage with access limited to staff who need it for collection, review or delivery. We do not hold certifications such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001, and we do not represent that we do.
9. Retention
We retain footage and consent records for as long as needed for the purposes in section 3 and to meet our contractual and legal obligations, and we delete or anonymize them when that need ends. Third-party provision records are kept for three years. Contact correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle the inquiry or the relationship it leads to.
10. Withdrawing consent and your other rights
If you appear in our footage, you may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the contact below. When you do, we stop any new provision of your footage, exclude it from datasets we create afterwards, and notify recipients who already hold it within five business days. Withdrawal operates prospectively: it does not undo provisions that were lawfully made before it, and it does not extend to machine learning models whose training was already completed. Independently of withdrawal, APPI gives you the right to request disclosure, correction, cessation of use or deletion of your personal data, and to be told the recipient of a transfer abroad. We verify identity before acting on a request and respond within a reasonable time. The same rights apply to contact data we hold about you.

12. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version. Changes to how we use footage do not apply to footage collected under an earlier consent unless that consent already covers them.
